Hazmat Shipments

Dangerous goods (also called hazmat) are substances or materials that may pose a risk during storing, handling, or transporting because they contain flammable, pressurized, corrosive, or otherwise harmful substances. To prevent potential health and safety risks, Amazon gathers dangerous goods information related to any products sold on Amazon.

Note that “dangerous goods” also refers to consumer products such as laptops, smartphones, household cleaners, spray paints, and cosmetics. You can find a list of products that may be regulated as dangerous goods following the link.

If a shipment is create through the ODB program, then all items identified by Amazon as HAZMAT are always sent in a separate shipment. Goods from such a shipment cannot be sent by the Amazon partner ship, so we will buy a shipping label ourself and send you information about number of the boxes, numbers of products in the boxes, box's size, weight, and track number (numbers), which you have to add in the shipment page in Amazon seller central.

How to add box data to SC?

To add data on a shipment, go to the Inventory => Manage FBA Shipments => Shipping Queue => find shipment by the shipment ID and go to the shipment page by clicking on the "Work on shipment" button. Next, move the cursor to the Shipping service subsection and choose how your products were sent: by boxes (SPO) or on a pallet (LTL). Next, select which service sent the products: for example, Ground and UPS courier service.

Then, go to the next section Shipment packing, which will become active after filling in the previous one, and choose how your products were packed: in one box or several. And then enter the size and weight of the box and click on the Confirm button.

Next, enter the track number that our manager provided to you and save the data. After adding the data, the status of the shipment will change to "In transit", and you will be able to control the delivery.

When the parcels will arrive and will be accepted, the shipment status will be updated automatic.
